dATAview Image Window
Image Window is resizable and zoomable window which provides:
- Data display
- Zooming control (magstep =2)
- Contrast and brightness control
- Data min/max control
- Auto scaling
- Color control
- Full Width Half Maximum & magnitude measurements
- Current state cursor indication
Controls:
- Image area:
- Click the left mouse button to reposition (zoomed) displayed
region. This also sets default position for Zoom and Graph when cursor
is not in the Image Window.
- Click the center button to get FWHM and magnitude of the star
(or sky flux if there is no star).
- Press the right button amd move mouse to adjust contrast and
brightness of the image.
Tiny Color Bar above image area:
- Click the left button in the tiny Color Bar
to adjust data min/max to the actual color scale.
Top control area:
- Click the left button on left button designated
Auto | Med | Cuts to select AutoScale mode:
- Auto sets data min & max values after loading new frame
- Med sets data min & max around median after
loading new frame.
- Cuts does not reset data min & max after loading new frame.
- Click the left button in the Text Input windows and
enter data min/max from the keyboard. Press ENTER to set values.

- Click the left button on the Color button to:
- Select other Color Palette (Grey, Temperature, Black Body, RGB).
- Select number of available colors.
- Adjust data min/max to the actual color scale.
- Click the left button on the Up or Down arrow
buttons to change zoom by a factor of 2.
- Left side:
- Click the left button on the sliders.
and drag the mouse to change contrast or brightness (default) or data min/max
(if selected by
Control Window options.
- Bottom & right side:
- Click on sliders (if visible) and move mouse to change position of the
displayed region.
Miscellanea:
- You can close and open this window from the
Control Window options
