Filter - General Wheel Positioning Tool
Facilitates filter selection, which may be acomplished either by clicking
on the image representing selected filter wheel or choosing from the series of
pull down menus. Filter tool is interfaced to, and is fully configurable
through the Data Base. Filter tool is also
a status display, which shows which filters are selected and/or which
filters are actually moving (animation).
Menu Bar of the Filter Tool contains three buttons:
- File
- Init Wheels button which is interfaced to the command, that
starts wheel initialization process (usually locatinc detent positions).
- Quit button quits application.
- Select button pulls down menu with filter wheel names. These in
turn pull down menus with filter position names, which can be mouse selected.
- Help button which starts Netscape navigator.
Filter Window contains graphic representation of the existing wheels
and a button panel with filter names. Selecting new filter position requires
clicking on the left mouse button with the filter name on it,
or on the wheel image,
if the appropriate filter wheel is selected (slided off the wheel stack).
Selecting the wheel will bring a big filter wheel onto the screen.
- If you have realeased the left mouse button than you have to click
again on one of the filter positions (selected position is shown as a
depressed one).
- If you haven't released the mouse button yet, you can drag the mouse
over the filter wheel until requested filter positions shows depressed.
Than you can release mouse button to select the requested position.
If you have selected filter wheel with full click (filter wheel stays
poped up on the screen) you can change wheel selection going back to the
Filter Window. If you change up your mind and don't want to change
the filter, click on the central field of the
wheel (with wheel name) to get rid of the wheel image.
