Image Server
It is a remote, RPC (Remote Procedure C...) based server
designed to support MPIA IR camera systems (OMEGA, MAGIC, MAX).
Image Server must be executed on the same host as the camera control
software, i.e. where the appropriate Shared Memory
blocks exist. Once started, Image Server will serve any remote (or local)
requests to send images stored in the Shared Memory.
Basic service includes dispatching:
- individual images of any size,
- integrated images,
- sky images,
- bad pixel images,
- information about the image .
Image Server Protocol includes also service not yet implemented
neither in the Image Server nor in the only existing client -
dATAview:
- dispatching sub-images of arbitrary size and location.
