    author: Janusz Christa

For the first time Kajko i Kokosz appeared in 1972 in a story entitled "Zlote prosie" published in "Wieczor Wybrzeza". It required very good drawing skills to draw on a short strip not only next part of the series but a whole joke as well. Because first of all this is a very funny story.
Kajko i Kokosz were introduced as ancestors of Kajtek i Koko, who earlier had amused readers of "Wieczor Wybrzeza" for a couple of years. Christa created very characteristic heroes, easy to recognise. Kajko is brave, smart and honest; Kokosz - cowardly, greedy and vain, but owing to this features he is more variegated.
The story takes place in the medieval settlement Mirmilowo, which inhabitants embodied good and stand against bad knights called Zbojcerze. The comic has very humorous, lively plot. There are many references to the present, sometimes we can even find political allusions (especially in the album "Mirmil w opalach").

Profesor Stokrotek
In the episode entitled "Profesor Stokrotek" heroes were carried to the future.

"Kajko i Kokosz" is drawn with very elegant and clear line. The characters' proportions are similar to children's - bigger heads and shorter legs, what arouses subconscious liking in readers. In an interview Christa admitted that this way of drawing he watched in Disney's cartoons. When the comic was to be published in "Relax" Christa was accused of imitating "Asterix", but "Kajko i Kokosz" had been drawn when "Asterix" did not existed yet.
The first album appeared in 1981 and included "Wielki turniej" and "Szkola latania". The last part (till now) appeared in 1990 and was entitled "Mirmil w opalach".
There is no cruelty in "Kajko i Kokosz" but very good and edifying joy. I wish young Polish fans of comics were not forced to read only cruel American comics nowadays.

Zbojcerze

In 1993 there was created a computer adventure game based on the comic. Characters, things, surroundings and situations are taken from different albums. The game is very complex and full of riddles.
