The directory structure is as follows: README - this file ident.dat - identification of stars DPV.dat - parameters of DPVs phot/I/ - I-band photometry of individual objects phot/V/ - V-band photometry of individual objects phot.tar.gz - gzipped phot/ directory fcharts/ - finding charts of individual objects remarks.txt - remarks on selected objects pap.ps.gz - postscript version of the paper Poleski et al. (2010), Acta Astron. 60, 179, describing the catalog. Format of the file ident.dat: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bytes Format Units Description -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1- 16 A16 --- Star's ID in the form OGLE-LMC-DPV-NNN 18- 25 A8 --- OGLE-III field 27- 32 I6 --- OGLE-III database number 34- 35 I1 h Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (hours) 37- 38 I2 m Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (minutes) 40- 41 F5.2 s Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (seconds) 43 A1 --- Declination, equinox J2000.0 (sign) 44- 45 I2 deg Declination, equinox J2000.0 (degrees) 47- 48 I2 arcmin Declination, equinox J2000.0 (arc minutes) 50- 53 F4.1 arcsec Declination, equinox J2000.0 (arc seconds) 55- 69 A15 --- OGLE-II ID 71- 85 A15 --- MACHO ID 87- 98 A12 --- GCSVS IDs -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Format of the file DPV.dat: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bytes Format Units Description -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1- 16 A16 --- Star's ID in the form OGLE-LMC-DPV-NNN 18- 23 F6.3 mag I-band magnitude corresponding to the maximum of the orbital cycle and mean brightness in the long cycle 25- 30 F6.3 mag V-band magnitude corresponding to the maximum of the orbital cycle and mean brightness in the long cycle 32- 41 F10.6 days Short period 43- 50 F8.6 days Uncertainty of the short period 52- 61 F10.5 days Time of short period minimum brightness (HJD-2450000) 63- 67 F5.3 mag I-band amplitude of short period (maximum-minimum) 69- 76 F8.3 days Long period 78- 83 F7.3 days Uncertainty of the long period 85- 92 F8.3 days Time of long period minimum brightness (HJD-2450000) 94- 98 F5.3 mag I-band amplitude of long period (maximum-minimum) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finding charts are gzipped Postscript images. The names of the files are in the form: ID.ps.gz. The finding charts are 60"x60" subframes of the I-band reference frames centered on the stars. White cross marks the star. North is up and East to the left. Any presentation of the scientific analysis or usage of the data from the Catalog of Double Periodic Variables from the LMC should include the appropriate reference(s) to OGLE paper(s). Updates: 2011-12-23 Objects from OGLE-LMC-DPV-126 to OGLE-LMC-DPV-137 added. They were found by R. Mennickent (private communication) in the OGLE-II data.
