The directory structure is as follows: README - this file ident.dat - identification of stars singlemode.dat - parameters of single-mode stars multimode.dat - parameters of multi-mode stars phot/I/ - I-band photometry of individual objects phot/V/ - V-band photometry of individual objects phot.tar.gz - gzipped phot/ directory fcharts/ - finding charts of individual objects remarks.txt - remarks on selected objects pap.ps.gz - postscript version of the paper Poleski et al. (2010), Acta Astron. 60, 1, describing the catalog. Format of the file ident.dat: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bytes Format Units Description -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1- 18 A18 --- Star's ID in the form OGLE-LMC-DSCT-NNNN 20- 27 A8 --- OGLE-III field 29- 34 I6 --- OGLE-III database number 36- 45 A10 --- SINGLEMODE/MULTIMODE 47- 48 I1 h Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (hours) 50- 51 I2 m Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (minutes) 53- 57 F5.2 s Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (seconds) 59 A1 --- Declination, equinox J2000.0 (sign) 60- 61 I2 deg Declination, equinox J2000.0 (degrees) 63- 64 I2 arcmin Declination, equinox J2000.0 (arc minutes) 66- 69 F4.1 arcsec Declination, equinox J2000.0 (arc seconds) 71- 85 A15 --- OGLE-II ID -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Format of the file singlemode.dat: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bytes Format Units Description -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1- 18 A18 --- Star's ID in the form OGLE-LMC-DSCT-NNNN 20- 25 F6.3 mag Intensity mean I-band magnitude 27- 32 F6.3 mag Intensity mean V-band magnitude 34- 44 F11.9 days Period 46- 56 F11.9 days Uncertainty of period 58- 67 F10.5 days Time of maximum brightness (HJD-2450000) 69- 73 F5.3 mag I-band amplitude (maximum-minimum) 75- 79 F5.3 --- Fourier coefficient R_21 81- 85 F5.3 --- Fourier coefficient phi_21 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Format of the file multimode.dat: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bytes Format Units Description -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1- 18 A18 --- Star's ID in the form OGLE-LMC-DSCT-NNNN (first row for a given star) or "---" (second and following rows for a given star) 20- 30 F11.9 days Period 32- 42 F11.9 days Uncertainty of period 44- 48 F5.3 mag I-band amplitude (maximum-minimum) 50- 59 F10.5 days Time of maximum brightness (HJD-2450000) 61- 66 F6.3 mag Intensity mean I-band magnitude (only first row for a given star) 68- 73 F6.3 mag Intensity mean V-band magnitude (only first row for a given star) 75-106 A32 --- mode identification (F, 1O, 2O or 3O for fundamen- tal mode and first three overtones respectively) or combination period identification (e.g. "=1/(P1/2)") -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finding charts are gzipped Postscript images. The names of the files are in the form: ID.ps.gz. The finding charts are 60"x60" subframes of the I-band reference frames centered on the stars. White cross marks the star. North is up and East to the left. Any presentation of the scientific analysis or usage of the data from the Catalog of Cepheids from the LMC should include the appropriate reference(s) to OGLE paper(s).
