Coronal activity from the ASAS eclipsing binaries

• Catalogue
  • ASAS.ROSAT.cat (132KB) - The file contains data for all ASAS eclipsing binaries that have their counterparts in the ROSAT All Sky Survey Catalogue (807 objects). A sample of this combined catalogue was presented in Table 1 of the paper.
  • Each line of the catalogue contains 17 columns:

    [1]	ASAS ID	- ASAS identification (RA and DEC in the format: hhmmss+ddmm.m)
    [2]	RASS ID	- RASS identification (RA and DEC in the format: Jhhmmss.s+ddmm.m)
    [3]	α	- Angular separation of sources on the sky, in arcsec
    [4]	Per	- Orbital period of the binary, in days
    [5]	MJD0	- Modified Julian Date (HJD0-2450000) of the epoch of minimum
    [6]	V	- V-band brightness at maximum light, in mag
    [7]	I	- I-band brightness at maximum light, in mag
    [8]	d	- Distance to an object, in parsecs
    [9]	Lbol	- Bolometric luminosity, in ergs per second
    [10]	HR	- Hardness Ratio
    [11]	HRerr	- Hardness Ratio error
    [12]	CNTR	- ROSAT Count Rate, in counts per second
    [13]	CNTRerr	- Count Rate error, in counts per second
    [14]	LX	- X-ray luminosity, in ergs per second
    [15]	log(P/τc)	- Logarithm of the Rossby Number
    [16]	Other ID	- Other identification (mainly from GCVS)
    [17]	Type	- Type of variability in the ASAS classification (eg. EC - contact, ESD - semi-detached, ED - detached)

• Lightcurves
  • An up-to-date V-band lightcurve for an individual star can be found via the ACVS Catalogue search form.
  • It is also possible to download all eclipsing binaries V-band light curves used in this paper: Vband_lcs.tar.gz (7MB).
