Detection of silane in a cold, low-metallicity world WISE J1534-1043
Abstract:
In this presentation I will share the results of our recent James Webb observations targeting an unusual brown dwarf WISE J1534-1043 a.k.a. "The Accident". Capabilities of the JWST finally enabled more detailed studies of this extremely faint object and led to unexpected detection of silicon and hydrogen compound silane (SiH4) in its atmosphere.
