Infrared Revolution: James Webb Space Telescope

Abstract:
I will present the latest discoveries made by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). I will concentrate on galaxy evolution studies, but this telescope has enabled many groundbreaking discoveries from the study of planets through stars, the nearest and farthest galaxies, to cosmology. I will present the JWST observations of the first galaxies, which broke the record of the most distant confirmed galaxy. I will also discuss the properties of the first supermassive black holes in the early Universe.
