“Walk with exoplanets” educational path
We invite you to visit the educational path “Walk with exoplanets” in the Botanical Garden of the University of Warsaw. While strolling through the Garden’s alleys, you can take a journey through exoplanets – planets orbiting stars other than the Sun.
Along the path, you will explore the diversity of these distant worlds: from hot gas giants and icy super-Earths to free-floating planets. Among the featured objects are also discoveries made by the OGLE project, one of the largest sky surveys in the world, run at the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw.
A map with the location of the information plaques can be obtained at the Garden’s box office or downloaded by scanning the QR code on site. Visitors are also invited to solve a themed crossword puzzle and take part in a prize draw.
We encourage you to share your photos on social media using the hashtag #WalkWithExoplanets.
The “Walk” was created by Mateusz Mróz, a PhD student at the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw and a member of the OGLE team, whose research focuses on exoplanets.
“Walk with Exoplanets” will be available until the end of May 2025.
